I think this is an instance when you need to GET CLOSER. I feel like you're hiding from that person in the next alley

Best (€|£|$)50 you'll ever spend.

Btw Dave, you have an idea of affordable polarizers? I don't really feel like spending €70 for one, aldough they might be worth it.

No idea, but you'll want a low-profile one with that 17-40 lens or it might vignette. They cost a little more. I have one, but I never use it. I find that getting blue skies isn't that hard if you have the right sky conditions. The only thing I might buy is a ND grad filter.

Well in both pictures I posted, I knew the sky was gonna be burned out because it was very sunny that day. There was no way to get the blue sky because I couldn't find the right condition. What would have helped me in that case? an ND grad filter or a polarizer?

Polarizers don't automatically make your sky bluer. The effect depends on the angle of the sun relative to your scene.

This was as close to the action as I could get before the old lady started hitting me with her drum stick(bottom, out of frame, the straw hat). I was stepping on her white performance shoes.

I like that one a lot more.. not so much because of the Photoshopping per se, but the silhouetting of the figure against the alley helps everything fit together and makes it not just a picture of an alley.

I know the border & the signature are cheesy, but it's just because I post my picture on another forum showcase.

Yep! :) Was first time in Sweden and I really liked it over there, was very nice to walk there and then my swedish friend told a story about a crazy guy killing 4 people randomely because he said the aliens controlled his mind.

Then all the charm was gone :icon33:

I was born there, and lived there in 1990, as a student...Sweden that is, not Stockholm. All Swedes are a little crazy, but in a good way, like Finns. The kind of crazy where people go on a killing rampage isn't the norm :p
