I also made this with my tilt lens... You can fake it in PS, but you can't get the kind of depth of field that links the back of the kid's head to the stage with f/3.5 with a normal lens

This probably would have had more shadow/highlight detail with print film, but eh...

I moved out to California about a month ago, it was a hell of a drive. I was pretty nervous about driving across the country with a car full of my most valuable stuff, so I ended up making the trip in two days... I did almost twenty hours on the road on that Saturday. Anyway, I saw a couple of interesting things on the way, and after playing with some stitching software I came up with some cool panos I think:

Double rainbow after a storm in Grand Island, Nebraska

Some crazy rock formation in the Utah desert, apparently it's called the "reef"

yeah it was a crazy drive, I had never really seen the west before. Driving through the desert was a unique experience.

I just used autostitch and cropped the edge ugliness off in cs2 afterward, seems to work ok... I'll have to try the cs3 stitch when I get a chance

Indeed.
Here's another one of mine that's already on flickr, since my lab had a fucking fire and won't have the rolls I dropped off a week ago done for a few more days.

That brings back a bit of memories. Last time I was in Ottawa was in 1989.

Has it changed much in your opinion? I really want to go again, for much longer this time. I love it.
