sounds like fun
That's why I can't stand Rocket Arena or threewave ctf strike or freeze or any game where you sit and wait for action.

For the unitiatiated, these are the All Blacks. They do a tradiational aggressive dance before the games called the Haka, it rocks.
WTF? How did they end up doing a Maori war dance? I've watched the real thing done, very impressive.

i remember watching a 'soccer' match with yank commentry

"here comes owen, and he has to be the best soccer player in the world, right next to david beckham"

it almost gave my brain trauma :(

Well, soccer and rugby are more on-the-fly strategy games by the players.

American football is playcalling strategy by the coaches and quarterbacks.

I've played rugby a few times, I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Soccer kicked my ass though, way too much running around. That field is fucking massive.

uhh, we do have MLS

and its going to be great when the U.S. team wins the world cup to listen to the rest of the world cry, beaten down by a nation where the game is predominately played by little girls.

They're from New Zealand (if you didn't know already, they just decided very early on to go with all black kit), I can't remember exactly why but I think the majority of players might have been Maori (still a lot in there now), there's also a New Zealand Maori side that plays touring teams usually in the lead up to the main test series against the full side. The Maori side makes up a fair deal of the full side.

i really hate it when people try to argue about one sport being better than the other. they both have their pros and cons. it comes down to opinion. when they start to bring in america v w/e based on the sports, its fucking absurd. my favorite sports ARE nfl, and fifa styles of football :p been going to most of the mls local teams games, pretty fun stuff.

the us national team btw, has been improving greatly the last few years, as has the mls.

Last time I checked, American Football was more about cheerleading then assbeating. Then again, I never checked.

American football is the best sport that ever was and ever will be.
I don't need to devalue any other sport to to have confidence in that fact.

You forgot the third branch of people who think its a boring and pointless sport which is way too Americanized. Personally, I'd rather jam a rusty fork in my eye than sit through an NFL game.

To be fair, in rugby you don't have a guy who stands still holding the ball for 15 seconds. You also don't have up-for-grabs passes from 40 yards away, with two or three guys running full steam toward each other fighting for the same spot of ground.

There are hits in football just about every weekend, that could possibly kill or paralyze players if they weren't wearing pads.
