Hardcore atheists are every bit extremist as hardcore religious folk, both stances based on a belief (or lack of belief) in something that we'll never prove :olo:
Can you even be a hardcore atheist? You either believe or you don't. You can't really, really, really disbelieve. Besides, the religious nuts are the ones that bear the burden of proof.

don't get me started...i just got done, no more than 2 minutes ago, telling my wife how scared i am for the future of science in this country based on what i am reading about the trial in pennsylvania.

But about that data - there are a lot of Christians, Catholics, Jews, etc., that believe in God and evolution, and simply see evolution as the process by which whatever diety they believe in created life - or gave life the ability to develop...

...but that discussion as been had, and lets not have it again.

Yea Kracus, so few of the population has the innate ability, that you posess, to reason their way though this complicated mess called life. I mean shit, look where it's gotten you...those nuggets of wisdom, those penetrating questions that strike right at the heart of the big scientific and philosophical issues...those lesbians you convert, etc. etc... Your way of thinking reeks of superiority.

this thread needs kracus repellent.

BTW there is absolutely no burden of proof on the scientific commuity that there is no god. Fuck sakes, we've spent a large portion of our existence thinking that the heart was the seat of consciousness. Doesn't mean we were right

It's not like religious persecution of scientists is new though, ask Copernicus.

At least they're not burning people at the stake.....yet

Yup, we Americans are dumb as shit and green as corn. However, we would never, ever vote Abba's "Waterloo" the greatest song of all time.

Well done.
