Porting or remapping? I'm not sure all .map files are still available?
I'm more looking forward to original Q4 maps tbh... Q4 needs its own identity and not a "Q3 with more eye candy and less fps" kinda game.
While some (most?) maps could probably be played with different game physics (i.e. Q4 physics) it could be more fun to get to know the physics a bit and tailor maps to that.
I'd hate to see new people go because they can't even grab a weapon on remakes from Q3. It's a new game, it needs new maps, no need to relive Q3 (you can still play that) and with new maps the gap between old Q3 and new Q4 players wouldn't be as big...
P.S. please don't ban me

Agreed. The differences between the Q3 and Q4 physics seem to be bigger than anticipated. That opens some nice new possibilities in maps.spookmineer wrote:While some (most?) maps could probably be played with different game physics (i.e. Q4 physics) it could be more fun to get to know the physics a bit and tailor maps to that.

love that map.
Oh yeah and Overkill and 6++.
honestly. i mean, everyone got upset by the end of q3 that this map was soooo overplayed...and it was. but the fact is that it's just perfect for the ra game type. huge area, tons of routes, perfect flow. god i love this map.
