I acknowledged it helps any jerkiness. My point was that it doesn't increase overall average framerate or help loading time. So a lot of people might not want to spend twice as much on RAM without those benefits.

I was curious how much RAM Quake 4 used. Look at this:

153MB. That's it? While loading levels the most it hit was 172MB.

I'll try it later on high settings, right now it's on medium.
