I've split the UT-related discussion from here off into a seperate thread.

Honestly, I am posting this all over the interweb it seems :p we cant expect them to finish the game to our liking. With the SDK out, we will all hopefully be playing Q4Max for our vq4 games and they can fix things.

Bring on the mods!

Don't expect them to alter the game in any substaintial way at all; thats what the modding community is for :)

I DO expect them to fix the bugs and provide a proper base for the modding community to take over.

According to iD, it's coming :icon30:

Q3 multiplayer in its current state is the product of five years of moaning, tweaking and updating: I remember loading up Q3 multiplayer, playing three maps and then going right back to Q2.

I doubt anybody seriously thought that Q4 from the box would be able to hold a flame to Q3 - as nice as it would have been there was no way that it was ever going to happen.

I don't see it. None of the weapon loadout, damages, ammo amounts or player attributes were changed between the retail release and the 1.32 patch.

The only gameplay change I can think of is altering the through-floor damage on the RL.

Did they change the MG damage for TDM/CTF in a patch?

To my knowledge none of the damage was changed since the box release. I'll admit that I should have worded my point better, but it all boils down to the gaming public making their vices known. If it needs fixing it will be, it just won't be fixed as fast as people may like.
