"How about some samples of your playing?"

http://sonicclang.ringdev.com

I've got 5 songs as of right now up there under the "Music" section. And you can hear three of them in Quake 3 levels all downloadable from my "Leves" section. You'll recognize some of the names of the level designers I'm sure.

My latest song isn't on the site yet, mainly because I'm waiting until the level gets released. I don't want to spoil the surprise. I'm working with heXum. He's making a Doom 3 level and I made the end boss music, and some voice over work. This song sounds like Tool and it just plain rocks.

Let me know what you think of the stuff. If you want music in your level just ask :)

Listening to She-Wolf right now. Great Megadeth song! You're pretty good. I recognized the song within the first 2 seconds. I never knew the name of that song. Programed drums I hear... I've been using programed drums up until my latest song.

Very nice work! You do this as a hobby? 10 seconds into Beef Rock and I said "Hell yeah! That's my kind of guitar player right there!"

I love covering Megadeth songs. I've got a few originals but I need to add some lead to finish them up.

Programming drums is such a pain in the ass.

I guess you could say I'm semi-pro. Just this last weekend I recorded a demo for a guy who has an acoustic act. He's been playing live for a long time and figured he'd have an easier time getting gigs if he had a demo so I we whiped one out. I just finished mastering it last night. I gave that to him real cheap, but he was talking about doing a full lenth, for which I'd charge a little more.

As for my own music and all the game music, I'm doing it as a "hobby" I guess since I'm not getting paid for any of it. But my goal is to some day make money doing this stuff. Whether that means I do freelance music development or I get hired by a major company, I'd love it. To make money off my music? Come on! That'd be a dream. I love hearing my music in peoples' levels. I can't even imagine what it would be like to have it in an entire game.

Covers... I don't do covers, but just this morning I was thinking of doing my own remake of the entire Broken album from NIN. My song "Nightmares" was very much inspired by the sound of that album.

Programing drums is just about the worst thing ever. It's about as tedious as counting the dots on the wall... or counting to 10,000. Now that I've got my drum set all miced up I'm only using programed drums if a certain song or spot of a song calls for them. But I'll never do an entire rock song with them again.

But all is well now, while I was ordering my new Mustang GT coupe at the store today, my freind walked by and said he was going to the music store. I said I'll go too and bought this:

Not bad. Neck through, that's nice. I wouldn't want the fixed bridge though. But if it's better than what you had, then cool! :D

the bridge is adjustable, there's two big screws on the sides of it. The unineck is pretty damn nice....I llove playing it, but it will take a bit to get used to since the neck is a tad wider than the stratcaster.

Other than that its great great great

Well yeah, you can adjust the bridge if you get the tools out... but you don't get any whammy action. I need that. It's such a part of my style.

I don't have one anymore, but the last one I had was very similar to this one. I loved my Ibanez. :tear:

It's a JS, got it a) because I'm a huge Satriani dork and b) because my back's not all that great and it's the lightest guitar I could find. The neck, as on all Ibanezes, is gorgeous, and it has a bit more personality than my old RG550. It'd been on the wall of one of the local guitar shops for ages and I had a nice "Wayne's World" moment buying it :)

Andyman, congrats on your new guitar. Now that's my kind of impulse buy.
