It all boils down to how much you play, and when it comes to a lan how much you have played in more competitive settings like league or ladder matches and such...

I've heard of entire clans using adderall.

I've heard of some using crystal meth.

Many use pot.

Some use alcohol.

Caffeine is a CPL sponsored drug (bawls)

I wonder how long it is before gaming competitions start doing drug screening tests.

Also wouldn't be surprised if drug screening becomes an issue for debate when it comes to things like writing the LSATS, or SATS for that matter (e.g. ritalin, adderall, etc.)

btw for an interesting article on caffeine's history, and drugs & society in general, check this out:

Caffeine works to my disadvantage I feel, it gets me (a bit) hyped up, whereas I perform better if I'm more relaxed. With coffee I'm "too" sharp/tense.

Nice article, I think I'll switch to tea. Eureka :)
Some people say they get headaches during weekends, if they don't drink coffee...

As this subjecy is all but concluded, I think I am going to change this thread into the original/what song you listen to before you play. What song do you listen to before you play an important match? I think I just found one, and that is: Jeff Buckley, Hallelujah.

Hmm. I rarely listen to any song before starting up Quake, but on the other hand good Q3 movies with good sound tracks make me wanna frag like hell. :)
