The server you tried to join was running an older version of Q3. In The All-Seeing Eye you can filter out any servers that don't use 1.32.

Yes there is. Download Dr. Watson's PR Switcher: http://phair.csh.rit.edu/~drwatson/q3a/drwpr.html

(It will essentially, let you via a prompt change to any point release from the past and change back to the latest one whenever you feel like it).

Install and use is pretty much self-explanatory but if you get stuck feel free to post here.

erm, just 2 questions:
where do i extract it to???
and then wat do i do???

Extract it to your main Quake 3 directory, if you used the default it would be: C:\Program Files\Quake III Arena

Inside you will find a file called: drwpr.bat

Double-click to run it, and you will get an ms-dos type window, you press the number that you want to change to the point release, and it will do it's thing.
