Did you know the hubble image sensor is only 4mp

back in 2002, i think they upgraded it to 16 mp.

even still, that full size image is 18Kpx on both sides. I think they made the worlds largest panorama

Nope. There are gigapixel panoramas, the world's highest res camera uses film and produces the equivalent of a 4 gigapixel image (if I recall correctly). My memory is sketchy but I think there was a SciAm article on it.
