If you really want to drink pop, but without the 200+ calories per can, get something made with sucralose (splenda). It's sugar + chloride ions, it's completely non-nutritious meaning your body doesn't break it down or store it, it will go right through you. If you drink a ton, you might get diarrhea or something, but it's better than being a fat munt or getting cancer.

Isn't that what Coke/Pepsi Zero contains in part (multiple artificial sweeteners)?
Goes through you like nothing at all, except for the caffeine.

The new diet coke recipe here uses sucralose. I haven't tried it yet though, as I don't usually drink pop.

I believe in excessive amounts yes. Moderation is always wise, but I guess some people just can't live without pop.

I have. Root beer is my fave drink EVER but I havn't had any for about 4 years
