Having read a bit of it and planning to grab a copy eventually, I wouldn't be using the word "good" either... interesting, intriguing... but not good.
Currently reading: George_Orwell-Down_And_Out_In_Paris_And_London[128kbps][MikesBookRipz.ru].book

exactly mike - it's interesting from a historic point of view, but nowhere near "good".
Currently reading Nietzsche's collected works since I currently suffer from a pretty bad Insomnia.

I dont read enough. I re-read Jurassic Park a year ago, simply because compared to the film its amazingly well done. If the film had even half of what the book had it would of owned.
But i dont really read as much as i should I have a lot of books, i just never seem to get the time.

It's the classic amateur approach of "This book is controversial so it must be good", when in fact it's terribly written and filled with misinformation and contradictions.

Okay Soapboi, I wanna delve into this a little further: What exactly is "well written" and what "keeps you interested" in that book? Is it its complexity of twisted and distorted "historical" facts which A. Hitler put together quite randomly?
I'm just posting this to get a stab at you, so feel free to show off.

I'm reading the Incarnations of Immortality series by Piers Anthony, they're not brilliantly written, but I like the way all the books relate to each other and the family relations and ties between characters. Plus I really like the girl that's lent them to me
Next I'm going to read The Magus by John Fowles

Im a huge Chuck fan.. got most of them in soft and hard cover...Always buy both, and reprints for alt. covers.
Survivor is great... Its actually his first book.
Beautiful monsters should be the next one in line to be made into a film afaik.
I highly recommend his newest book, Haunted.
its a bunch of short stories woven through a larger story... I say its one of his best of all.
Diary is fucking stellar too. If youre an art student.
It has my fav chuck line of all time.
" Everytime some well meaning person forces you to demonstrate you have no talent, and that you are a failure at the one dream you ever had....take another drink."

finished reading tom clancy's "Rainbow Six" last week... cute stuff, fun read.
next up, once i finish writing a paper, is John Stewart's "America: The Book" and then I'ma finish translating Brussig's "Am kürzeren Ende der Sonnenallee" into engrish (for fun really, nobody gives enough of a shit about that book to publish a translation, despite the film etc).
