Whats the deal with the quick res changing stuff? Shouldn't you use max dpi at all times?
Your world is waiting...

that is telling the banwith that the mouse can and will use to send the information to the computer, Wile DPI is the Sampling of the "eye"Psyche911 wrote:I'm confused.
MX500 = 800 DPI & 4.7 megapixels/sec
MX510 = 800 DPI & 5.8 megapixels/sec
MX518 = 1600 DPI & 5.8 megapixels/sec
I thought the megapixels/sec was somehow proportional to the DPI and sampling rate, but this would show otherwise.
WTF is megapixels/sec then.
yes, yes they do.Psyche911 wrote:Okay...
So wouldn't it need more bandwidth to send more sampling data to the computer?
Apparently not, but that was my thinking.
So, did the MX510 have excessive bandwidth, or is the 518 going to be somewhat starved?AmIdYfReAk wrote:yes, yes they do.Psyche911 wrote:Okay...

exactly what i was thinking. the newest mx5xx should have been laser if it's THAT good...Foo wrote:Anyway, I am confused as to why they didn't go with the new laser technology.. I thought this was being hailed as the new mouse technology for the best tracking and accuracy?
Guess that was just marketing hype then?
