Michel Drucker spoke on french TV, he said Zidane's mother was ill and went to hospital recently, I guess those fucking italians who never shut up knew that.

you're telling me that if a player jaws back and forth to cantona, cantona would kill him? he's not going to go ape just because of some trash talk. cantona can talk with the best of them.
i think cantona kicking a fan was as a bit of a different circumstance.
the thing with zidane is that he's a fairly short fused player. zidane's done some pretty dirty stuff himself. he's done some shady shit when he was on juventus. and lets not forget his stomping on a player in 1998...
