oh, yea, i've heard of that book - didn't receive much attention from the theoretical physics community if I remember correctly.....I think that's the one.

Theories that dispell the idea of time and (to quote the book) cast doubt on one of Einstein's greatest contributions generally wouldn't go over well with the theoretical physics community heh. But aren't those always the ones that change physics as we know it? Who knows... maybe this guy is on to something. I just jumped into the middle and read a few paragraphs and he was explaing some graph he had drawn out. Looked actually kinda interesting. I think I may just skip past his auto-biography and start reading where he actually talks about the good stuff.

edit: fuckin lysdexia.

What I mean is, perhaps everything is in the present only, and we only percieve a past through what we currently have within our mind. All the memories are there, but we never actually experienced them, we only think we did because the memory exists. There is no future either. We only think there will be one based on what memories we have to base one off of.

Not convinced? Okay then. You are reading my post right now. Goodness gracious me! Wait a minute! How do you really know you're reading it right now and not before? How do you know you're not accessing the memory of it?

Confused? Let me explain my theory furthur. Let's say time once existed. Once. But it had a limit, and it ran out. Now time is no more. It's the end of the universe, and everything that existed at the point time stopped also stopped and became the final present, where there would no longer be a future, only a past that lingers in the midst of mere thoughts.

I know, I know, it's too overwhelming for you, right? It's okay, take it in slow if you have to. I don't blame you for being astounded by these possible secrets of the mind that I have exposed to you.

old, obvious and undecidable. just assume it's either false or wrong and then say something usefull.

I read a little about it at Amazon, and it sounds like an interesting book, but I don't believe it has anything to do with my theory.

Piddla,
You are trying to prove my theory wrong by presenting a time to me that should be in the past now, correct? Well that's just it. You see, it's not really the past. It's in your current, present memory. You think "07-22-2006 01:04 PM" already happened because it exists in a memory within the Final Present.

Stick with politics Sydney. At least there when you come up with some ill-informed, under-researched opinion which defies common sense and reason, you've got an entire party to back you up.

In my first twenties, I experienced with a lot of hasch/thc. I often went into some sort of deep thoughts and I really believed them, as if I would have find a new scientific theory and I had all the answers to prove I was right. I was sure that by smoking a few joints my intellect was always getting above the average and even the more prolific scientist.
Any way, when I find some free time I’ll take a look at the book. Keep on working on your theory and get back to us with your new findings. After all, the earth isn’t flat and the sun doesn’t go around of it.

Shame on you, Poo. You are not giving my theory a chance, nor are you accepting my political beliefs. You're obviously a partisan. You give no time for my theory to prove some sort of validity before you completely disapprove of it. Though, what else can I expect? There's always much controversy and disapproval when a new theory is presented.

I already had really bad accidents. Car accidents or with electricity. May be it’s not the same thing but some times and still now, I wonder if I’m not already dead and all that I am living now is part of my consciousness, well, something like that. Because I read in newspaper of some other accidents like mine that seemed less bad then the ones I had and they all died from it.
