You mean a version of the thing I mentioned a month or two ago that someone said would probably never see the light of day? :icon26:

I fucking called that one.

I doubt it's gonna be called iTV because ITV was a television network here in the UK, and though they don't broadcast anymore I would wager the trademark is still held.

I realise it's just a working/rumoured title, just saying don't get used to it...

Hah! :D I was wrong, ok. I figured it would be a Mac Mini, and to be honest, I dont see why they didnt go that route. Maybe for the sake of keeping the price down?

Does that mean I should charge my iPod Video I haven't used in 3 months?

my iPod Mini is all but dead.
For whatever reason it started acting funky out of the blue.
Discharges even when not in use.
So, if I take it off my charger and immediately start listening all is well but
if I wait until the end of the day with the iPod not in use, the battery will be dead - or so the iPod says.
I stuck it back in the charger and not 5 seconds goes by when it says "Charged."

I'm thinking bad software now >>

Canis wrote:Yeah, I was just clarifying that this was a full version update as opposed to an incremental one, but I do agree with that. For what the incremental updates are, ~40MB seems a bit much. Still, the program file itself is ~20MB, so that's going to be at least the size of the download.
Assuming they only make minor changes between .1 upgrades they could just use a patch system which takes the difference between the two exes etc and merges them. It would be pretty tiny.

It's still known as ITV isn't it?

They mentioned "iTV" as an interim codename.

Well I got a tip from my friend on how to stop iTunes from recreating an iTunes folder in the All Programs part of the Start Menu. Delete all the shortcuts created by iTunes and create new shortcuts that lead to the iTunes program, usually C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunes.exe. I am glad that the fix exists, because I would have uninstalled iTunes 7 and reinstalled iTunes 6 otherwise.

Anyone played around with the Retrieve Album Art option?
It's a half-ass implement if you ask me.. Now I realize you need proper tags, but it seems to be random when it does and doesn't work, even though 1) I keep proper tags, 2) the album art IS on iTunes. Or songs on the same album are listed seperately, even though I specify that they are part of the same compilation... anyone else have trouble with this?

Yeah, I've noticed the randomness, but when it does work the album art stays, so sooner or later it'll fill your library with the proper artwork.

The album art feature and view are excellent ideas except that I've run it a half a dozen time and it still hasn't found all of the album art (and all of the MP3s are fully tagged).

Ya, I guess it isn't just me. Can't complain too much though, cause it's a great feature which will hopefully have the bugs eliminated in future releases.

If the albums are not on the iTunes music store they may not have the artwork available. Not sure how it works though. I've also noticed the artist and album names have to be right for it to retrieve the proper artwork. I've had stuff like "Disc 2" vs "Disc II" give me problems with retrieving the artwork.
