Yes I do.
The PS3 is coated in the same shiney plastic that the PSP is, meanint that touching the machine in any form will result in it being marked.
Oh wait, sorry...

yea its a big bump, but this is the only thread I could find about this game - I thought I made one awhile back asking about it.
Anyhow, rented this game last week and am about 16 hours into it. Not bad.
Those of you who have finished it, how many hours can I expect to get out of this game from start to finish? Any suggestions you have to save me from having to replay long portions of the game due to poor planning?

I have to say, from playing it (Import), its probably the finest PS2 game I've seen.

i'm about 40 hours into it and the story just started to get really rolling. as far as spoilers go... it does have a big one; well... i'm probably already too late; considering i spoiled this in my first few hours playing.
look up the zodiac lance.
its the best weapon in the game and it's almost impossible to get if you eff up early and open some specific treasure chests that it never hints that you shouldn't open. which brings me to my biggest gripe with the game; the random treasure chests fucking suck.
my only other dislike is the license system... it's too generic and open. makes the characters into generic templates.. its like the sphere grid only 100x less restrictive; classless supercharacters are boring.
at least that is fixable... i recomend making yourself be as 'classful' as possible. i've been trying my best to use all the characters and keep their upgrades as roll specific as possible.
other than that i've been loving the game.
takes alot of adjusting to it, but once you get past the initial shock of the real-time battle system it's very good.
the story is pretty good as well... although for the next game i'd like to see the main character be something other than an orphaned teenager with social disorders.

More than likely...
Oh well right...
from what i've heard it's one of the best ff titles; mostly due to gameplay.

I bought it a few months ago and it's really good...I like the new battle system. No more random battles and you can see the monsters as you walk the map...real cool stuff. It's actually harder than past fantasies though...it's harder than winning a 1v4 q3 match against a bunch of newbie wannabes from Q3W.
jellous?

It's the best Final Fantasy since the old school ones. It is leaps and bounds better than 7.
I think by the time I finished it I had about 60 hours in it but I did a lot of the hunts and such too. Don't worry about getting the Zodiac lance since it really isn't even that good.
Anywho, the game's gameplay is SOO much better and I hope they never go back to the whole "LOLSUDDNBATTLE" system. The story is also leaps and bounds better as well. I loved how political it was. Good times.

I'd say at least 50 hours. It took me ~75 hours, and I did about half of the optional content there is in terms of mob hunts. Didn't even touch the optional espers and some of the stronger mob hunts like Gilgamesh though.

Not really. Keep in mind that there is no point in purchasing licenses for items you will not be able to get for a very long time. Concentrate on stat boosts early on. Swiftness (Reduces Action Time by 10%), HP+ bonuses, and Battle Lore (Physical Damage+) are good ones to get. Always have some LP points saved up in so you can purchase a license for equipment as soon as you find it.
The single best piece of advice I can give you other than that is to get the Demonsbane weapon early on, and then later the Deathbringer sword. Look for a FAQ. Both weapons become available once you Reach Raithwall's Tomb.

You really can't fuck yourself in the ass in this game, because even if you distribute your LP points poorly the amount you gain per monster remains constant throughout most of the areas, and you can grind LP if necessary.

I think homo'dium is just pissed cause he can't play any of the Final Fantasy games because he's using a Nintendo piece of shit system...instead, he's just fagging it up on Sunday afternoon playing Wii Sports with the rest of the short bus club

so you got to the rainey town fight with the black mages, archers, and knights.
that's the fight they put in the game to seperate the pussy carebear bitches from the quality players interested in owning the game like a prison mob scene.
