Who woulda thunk it? Sabres kickstart their season with a perfect 4-0 record. Well done Buffalo :icon14:
Carolina, can you spell "hangover"? Looks like overconfidence owned the hell out of them and Cam Ward is having a disastrous outing so far.
Toronto, they barely have anymore defencemen in their lineup thanks to the sudden injury spree depleting their D corps. Looks like the inexperienced AHL rookies will have to step it up. In other words, ouch Toronto.
NHL's frozen moment:
Dion Phaneuf levels Denis Hamel in Ottawa

What a game, Buffalo improves to 6-0 with a loud 9-1 win. I feel sorry for whoever picked Esche in their hockey pool

16 goals in 2 games and I bet TSN still won't put us at the top of the power rankings. canadian media never gives us any respect.
p.s. once we get tim connolly back from dizzy land; everyone else mind as well move over and give us the cup.

w3rd... those fuckers have magic in them.
both games they've worn them have been pure ownage.
its actually the official 3rd jersey now. :icon14:
I'll never understand why they went with the buffaslug vs a re-vamped old school logo. (which is what the entire city wanted)
if i hadn't been forced to dump all that cash on legal fees i was going to grab one ages ago...
btw... the white ones look tight.

New Jersey lost to the Rangers. They blew a third period 2-0 lead and were trailing 3-2 in the late stages.
Also slight chance that Malkin is stopped from playing the rest of the season. Metallurg will be in court tomorrow.
Ryan Miller will be back in action in tomorrow night's game. The Sabres take on the limping Sens. I call two garbage goals on Gerber

no giggle at minnesota going so far down the shitpipe that they lost to phoenix today?
the rangers beating jersey is less of a shocker; they have a great offence, so they will beat good teams randomly.

wtf are you talking about?
the president's trophy has no curse on it.
detroit winning 2 cups without it and going 1 and 4 with it is a fluke of the divisions.
detroit has always had an easy ride through the regular season.
every other team that's won it hasn't had such issues; hell... the rangers won it the year they broke their 1940-94 drought.

The thing about Detroit is they've got Columbus, Chicago, and St. Louis in their division. With the new division schedule, the President's Trophy falls to their lap.
Hasek and the Detroit defence are really playing good hockey lately.

You never heard of that before? It's used lightly, but the media likes to throw it around. Since it's inception, the winner has only won the cup 6/20 times.
I was just joking anyhow..

Holy hell, Ottawa and Buffalo. What a barn burner!
4-2 Sens, man they played great, except for the first goal they let in. After that, Emery was strong and they played as a team. Having lots of powerplays helped too and what a nice empty net goal by Phillips who had the best game of his season. Too bad Miller didn't play, I don't have any points from him for my fantasy team +(

speaking of goalies... wtf anahiem?
lost to philly 7-4, but outshot them 41-16.
