my hope is that somewhere in Florida or Ohio a Republican gets 100% of the overall vote... making the obvious a bit more obvious.

I predict exit polls showing a democrat landslide but repubs just edging out a win, and the general air of suspicion moves up just a tiny, tiny notch.

Corker(R) is ahead of Ford(D) here by a fair margin right now, according to CNN.

I'm trying not to let myself get emotionally involved this time, so I'm not a fuming rage machine when the Republicans win it. >=\

I think this is a popular myth that is propagated by the GOP and parroted by the media, in their usual fashion.

I know that Christian fundies and nutjobs love the Republicans and vote for them, but I've always been skeptical of the theory that there are actually enough of them to turn an entire national election -- especially when Democrats are turning out in record numbers as well.

I think this -- like Karl Rove saying he's confident of a win because he sees polling data that no one else does -- is just one more thing that helps make it believable when Republicans win by 1% in every highly contentious race.

Strickland beat Blackwell for Ohio governor and Brown beat DeWine for US Senator. That's all I really wanted, so I'm happy.
