The number of titles on PS3 will depend on the success of the console itself. I don't see why the PS3 would have more diverse games either.

The article said the PS3 has more than 200 titles currently in development, 360 supposedly has way less and most of them are like Halo or something.

Sounds a lot like a fan boy remark.

In fact, it sounds a lot like IGN. If you read the cover of IGN, its always "PS3: Assasins Creed" pr "PS3: Fifa 07" or "PS3: Some shite".Then you see that this title is actually on BOTH systems.

In other words, PS3 has just as many exclusives as the 360 does ATM and the rest are multiplatform. And these "exclusives" are A) apart from Metal Gear a bit shit and B) mostly probably coming to 360 anyway. I mean DMC is going to 360 and theres even talk that MGS MAY* at some stage make the jump because of stupidly high dev costs. Not to mention all your other tripple A titles are gonna be on both systems anyway, and will look/play pretty much the same...

So in other words, it really comes down to just preference, and price. Should I pay X cash for a system, or X cash and then some, for a system that does the exact same thing only needs updating every 2 days?

thats called visiting distrobution, odium. has nothing to do with preference or fanboism. moreso with advertisers.

that is, if the ps3 portal needs more views they will send you to the ps3 counterpart of a crossplatform game.
and vice versa.

online marketing is still a mystery to you innit :icon32:

I guess I made my mind up and decided my opinion is this now:

I think PS3 and 360 will coexist just like PS2 and XBox did.
The PS3 will sooner or later surpass the 360's graphics, just like the XBox surpassed the PS2's.

Turns out the market is big enough for all 3 of them.

Expanding on what Splash said: it will be What the lest Console battle was... infact, i would consider it a clone..

Xbox has the power, PS2 is a little weaker, but has a few Exclusive titles and etc, And Nintendo is trailing...

simple as that.

Right. It's a good thing Sony isn't doing this with the PS3.

Oh, wait...

For a system like the PS3 advertising isn't really that big of a deal.

True. It's not like the PS2 was anything like Sega Saturn after all.

the bad press is whats hurting the ps3 atm :olo:

To be honest if Sony would just shut up for 10 seconds or think before speaking at the very least, they wouldnt be in this mess they are in now. People can deal with a certain amount of bullshit or slip ups, but when you flat out lie/boast/mess about and just act liek a twat every time your talk to your fans, you end up giving off a bit of a bad image.

Why is it so easy for MS and ninty to see everybody together, but Sony cant? I mean, MS is makinggames for the Wii, and more games for the DS. MS and Ninty are in talks ATM for licencing games on XBL and Wii:VC. Yet all Sony can think of doing is saying daft shit like "The PS3 is true HD, its better than the rest, its cheaper, and we rock. Everything else sucks. You will buy it."

All they really need to do, is, well... Shut up...?
