I've caught up with all the episodes after Jul's recommendation to watch Dexter. Seems great so far!
ah yes - twin peaks is absolutely fantastic. There are some moments from that show that are just transcendent.
Deep space 9 is also a good series if you watch it from start to end. At least I thought so a few years ago.
Prison Break - watched the pilot - meh wasn't impressed at all.
A lot of people would say it's a bad idea, on your first day out of prison, to go right back to stalking the tranny hooker that knocked out five of your teeth. But that's how I roll..

Truth, I tried to watch some for the first time and was completely lost. Some episode where the Cylons shoot down a human ship or something, some season conclusion I think.

Watch the miniseries dealio first, then start with the rest of season 1 eps. A few eps in after that, you'll probably be diggin it.
Northern Exposure season DVD sets (1-5) are the shit as well.
Northern Exposure is quality. Haven't seen that show in ages.
I'm going to give BSG another chance.
Heroes is okay but isn't living up to it's potential for me somehow. I must be a nerd because I love the Hiro character.
I checked out the first episode of The Wire last night. My friend has recommended it as quality thinking man's t.v. It was okay, nothing special. I'm going to check out a couple more episodes to give it a fair chance.
Also I aquired some Veronica Mars. Review to follow.
