This dunkelweizen is like a subdued Sam Adams Boston Lager. A bit richer though. Smoother. Definately buy again. Winter brews are my favorite for sure.

It was a toss-up between this and Spaaten Optimator. The 9% alcohol carried the day.

While that is a good one, The same brewery makes a Trios Pistoles. I'm sure you would like it better.
Real Ales, for REAL Men.
You can read about it at the same site as your label.

There were several others I wanted to try. The Spaaten was one. Fat Tyre was another.
Fat Tire is decent, but if you want a good beer from New Belgium Brewery, try the Tripple.
Lot of good flavor with a nice punch. (7.0 top fermented)

I want to add, for you unintitiated, that the yeast in the bottom is ment to be used. Its part of the flavor factor.
You pour the bottle till 1/3 is less, swile it and pour the rest.
Unfilterd beers/Ales taste best Because its as close to the keg you can get without buying a keg.
And how may of you have a Keg fridge?
Another beer I absolutely love for a Lager is Boulevard Wheat Unfiltered.
And yes I tried the Dunkel. It was over roasted malts that I didn't like, but was drinkable.

So yeah, pretty much like the Hefeweizen. Pour, swirl, mix, drink.

Really? I like it pretty well. Not as much as the Hefe. But still, it suits me fine.

Anything beats a Coors, Bud or Miller.
unless thats all you can afford.
But theres well over 1600 micro's out there now in America alone. Some available and some only limited to small areas.
My plan, is to drink at least one, from all of them. And in the meantime, others pop up.
Sure some flat out suck. Like something called Goose or something like that, but it still beat drinking another bud.

Are you saying that you can buy it at your corner store? From your profile you are in te US? This is a micro brewery that one of our most prolific poet singer create at the time. It was sold a few years ago but I didn’t know it was already in the US.
The logo on it is the map of my province Quebec.
Robert Charlebois is the artist and the micro brewery instigator.
Hope you like it. A bit strong but drink it more as a cocktail then as a beer. Enjoy!

Yes, I can buy it at the grocery store. This backwards-ass redneck state finally did something right and raised the legal alcohol percentage. Now I can get all sorts of delicious double and triple bocks and high octane Belgian goodness, among other things.

Is it flavored or just have a mocha aftertaste? Flavored beers are for women and fags.
