There are tons of those tiny bikes in Korea. I hate how small and light they are. I'm not sure your build and height, or if you've sat on that bike but it's tiny with skinny wheels. Top speed maybe 110km/h depending on your weight, hardly safe for Canadian highways and the wind will blow you into a ditch. Those bikes look cool initially for first time owners but it's pretty shit to be honest. Get a 250cc or 400cc as a starter. Plus listen to the others and get a used bike. New bikes are a complete waste unless you have cash to throw away.

Oh yeah that bike is $2400CAD in Korea and $110 for 1 year insurance. It's a rip for the price you listed but that's Canada.

I rode a Honda CB400 in Korea and used to have a Yamaha R6(2nd bike) and Suzuki SV650s(1st bike) in Canada. I want a Yamaha FZ1 naked.

fuck that. get a 600cc bandit and be done with it.

Not a bad idea. I was looking in to some Suzuki Bandit's and I can get a really nice, used one for around $3,699ish

Not a bad bike at all. Makes a whole lot more sense. Specially in the long run.

it's the best starter bike you can get and there's x10 more chance of you killing yourself on that.

i dont know that much about bikes, so i wont try to make a suggestion on models and etc, but i would also agree to get used..

3-4 of my budds are into bikes and one of them baught a band new Yamaha, and i give him credit, he dident put a single scratch on it for a little over a year..


then he set it down in a parking lot due to inexperance in busy parking lots.

There was a guy on this video that bought a 1,000 ninja for his first bike. Well I believe he dropped it a few times and can't handle the power.
Well he was checking out his buddies smaller bikes to make a trade.

Sounds like motorbikes are a bit like pushbikes... the only real way to get proper use out of a big bike is to progress steadily up to it.

Used to see lots of kids on real expensive rigs and they could never ride them to the fullest potential. The kids on the old beaters who had painstakingly hopped them up over time were always the best riders and the most involved in the scene.

if you want a small bike, the greatest thing you could ever buy would be an 83-85 Kenny Roberts RZ-350. Sure you are going to pay for it as they are collectible these days, and will have to learn how to do a little wrenching, but it was one of the greatest bikes ever built.

Probably the only bike I've ever owned that I would give my left gonad to still have today.

Utter comfort. It rides completely different from a super sport. Not the gayzer. I want the naked!

Yup. My buddy rides one, although the first model you posted is sold here as the FZ1, and it's got a much more upright riding position. A lot more comfortable for two-up cruising, too. They're still pretty damn fast, but he can't even think about keeping up with me.

My roommate got a used Triumph TT600 for $3200 and he can out ride anyone on that little beast. This is mainly because he is insane but the performance is definitely there with this bike.

I believe that took Cycle World's "600 of The Year" award for '05 or '06. Supposed to be a great bike.

ever consider the Honda CBR250RR?
in australia we have a limited amount of bikes which learners can chose from, basically nothing which will go faster than 200km/h etc. and this is one of the bikes which is allowed for learners.

Im getting one of those in the very near future and it will also be my first bike. Looking forward to it actually. I already rode around on my friends CBR and it seems like a good bike

250's are good all rounders for beginners. Once you get more confident, you could go for a 600cc...

You get what your comfortable on learn how to be a good rider you will live longer that way

Meh. The laws over here are fucking idiotic, tbh. When you turn 18, you're allowed to drive a fucking Veyron for all they care, but you're not allowed to ride a bike that has more than 25kW until you're 21.

That's like riding a fucking scooter..

Exactly my point. Get something small learn, then move on.
The only mistake I made was trying to get a brand new one.
That is a mistake, buying a new one, im going used.
