Well hey, 3 months from conception and you have no knowledge of the engine's capabilities and you wanna basically create and entirely new game on top of this one.

I'd say you're on track. Should be in stores by the holidays.

I finally checked out the Outpost mod...it's pretty cool. After playing through the demo, it popped up an idea I had years back. Minded, I have no idea how to make mods, maps, player models or MD3's.

I had thought it would be cool to make an SP on Q3 of Episode-One of Ultimate Doom. There are textures by Lunaran and there are other little ones from Sock and others which would work well for making the maps. There have been player models made for the Imp, Cacodemon, Revenant, and Arachnotron(which I don't think the spider is even in episode 1). The gunner/chaingun human models, Pink Demon, and Hell Knight were never done.

To see it all done up to look like the maps made these days would be quite amazing, and I'm sure you could probably find mappers to help out since it would all be remakes making it to be less work on them. I think alot of people would find it interesting.

It would probably be a a good start for you that won't stress your mind out...and people WOULD download it.

-just a thought

i might check it out then, maybe ill find something fresh in Quake 3 *rolls eyes*. Well, i have like, 80 maps and 10 or so mods for Q3 and im fine with it. I would enjoy an SP game that isnt on the Half-Life engine or one of IDs more recent fanboy-satisfying pieces of shit.

That in mind, im off for some Quality Doom and Quakeworld time.
