Silverfish I can live with (they're fairly rare here).

Spiders though... fuck that. Especially the speedy furry carpet runner fuckers...

Grandpa Stu wrote:silverfish are horrid. you normally don't see them but if you do then there's a good chance you have an infestation on your hands that might need to be dealt with.

i was getting ready for bed at an ex-girlfriends place a couple years back when i saw one scurry from under her dresser to an air vent. dear god those fuckers can move fast! she didn't believe what i saw until she saw one herself a few weeks later. it took me a while to get used to sleeping there after that; i was paranoid and couldn't stop itching cuz every little tickle i felt made me think of the fucking bugs.
Heh... my gf told me a pretty bad story about those things. One of her neighbours had an infestation and the fuckers had become so populous they were expanding their territory to the rest of the appartments in her block. When the city council clean-up crew came to do some exterminating she was just on her way to work and cought a glimpse of the neighbour's appartment... which was literally covered in a tapestry of bugs. That dirty disgusting neighbour dude must have lived with a million of those things for weeks...

im not a at home right now, but we have silverfish. as others have said they are a bitch to get rid of. i've killed a few house centipedes as well, although they technically should consume small insects (like silverfish) i can't stand the look of them nor do i want to find one crawling on me... thus i kill em'

What?

I'm always surprised that people still believe that spider myth at all - mouth breather, snorer, or not...you don't eat spiders in your sleep. Had quite an argument with some idiot about this the other week - which is why I mentioned it here.

ya i know

TV says that you'll eat, well, they crawl in your mouth 150 in ones lifetime

which reminds me

i was playing q3a once, it was dark, i had a big ass roach run over my keyboard and both hands, it tickled me and i died :tear:, then the roach died later :)

http://www.snopes.com/science/stats/spiders.asp

We should start one of those as well… just make a big q3w list of bullshit facts and start mailing them to stupid people to see how fast the misinformation spreads.

Actually, I make it a point to eat 8 spiders during the day so I can avoid the choking hazard at night

No fear of bugs for the most part. I'll sleep outside on the ground, and have many, many times camping with no tent or anything like that.
