In the last patch they "readjusted" the hitboxes. While this does sound like a good thing it pretty much nerfed sniping altogether. I've barely seen anyone snipe since the patch came out and if I did see someone, they weren't any kind of threat because it takes 2-3 hits to kill someone with a sniper rifle now.
