Hey vile, if you wanna be an electrician, whether or not you are a female doesn't make a difference. It is a good trade to have.
I figure you probably "got" that msg from my post rather than what your stalker "got" from it.

I'm sure that that's the best you can do, and unless you're PM'ing members not "ta muss yer purdy self up there lil missy.

" then I fail to see how your mostly ignored posts could be considered hitting on anyone or anything, unless that is I'm giving you too much credit. Perhaps in the illusionary world in which you live you're something and somebody, but I assure you that with everything you've demonstrated you're no doubt as worthless in the real world as you are here.

Just mentionning that electricity is not a toy. I had the opportunity to work as an aprentice electrician in 1979, I was 22 YO at the time. I had the job because my uncle was the master electrician of the cie. A favor he did to me but I almost got electrocuted because of my unexeperrience.
So, what I mean to say is take your certification before you go on the field and good luck”

It's good money if you're prepared to work. It is really great money if you're prepared to travel to boom industry locations, mining etc.

WOW.. no flaming in my thread. Easy tigers...
I'm not buying into the whole, "it's a man's job" thing... that's very old school and a very confined way of thinking. All of the trade jobs have always been male dominated but things have changed. The guy running the program has been more then happy to answer any questions I've had and has seemed quite supportive in the whole endeavor.
I'm signing up for Residential Wireman if I get into the class.
I'm 22 right now too Pete so that's a weird coincidence.
I know it's hard work, but that's what I want. I have the cushy desk job now and... i've had it for only six months and i fucking hate it.
Don't be jealous cause DM's my favorite

... jeeze guys. Grow up.

It's not a "man's job", it's a male-dominated occupation. Just be prepared to deal with that.

I've been there before.. at least very similar. I like the odd jobs and I always am considered 'one of the guys' having very few (2) actual friends with boobs.
I know about ridicule, i've experienced it. I ended up earning respect and being one of the best workers they had. Highly regarded. Then I got fired for sexual harassment.

Figure that one out.
The class is only 2 nights a week and there for 5 years long or something crazy. But it gets in all your hours for you Journeyman's License.

Money-wise, and security-wise, a few hours a week is worth it. So yer not gonna devote full time to this? Either way, you are young enough for it to pay-off in a big way.
Don't read anything into this next part:
Good luck with this.

Then you should have zero difficulty. When I was in the Corps the only female Marines that had problems were the ones that couldn't return fire when faced with a volley of crap from their male counterparts. That's all guys want to see, for the most part. If you can do the job and put up with the same sort of shit that men give each other then it's usually all good. But, from your work experience, you know that already.

I would take it on full time once I got my Journeyman's license... The class is at night which is great for holding a steady regular job.

Yes indeed. I never know when you are sarcastic... I almost got electrocutated because I didn't have the skills to fulfill my job. While I appreciate my uncle bringing me in, I didn't have my licence at the time, it was an inside work. I may talk about it today freely because my uncle has passed to another world a few years ago.
I just want to let him know that he has to pass his class in order to not die.

You should really have a job in the trade while going through the apprenticeship program. It will help you greatly with understanding trade specific terms and material. You will also understand how to apply your knowledge in the field.

Dude, just shut the fuck up already. Seriously.... You haven't got a clue.
I worked as an electrician for 5 years before getting into low voltage systems. Even then I had to coordinate all my work, and work with electricians. I've now been back in the electrical trade as a PM for 5 years. I also started out as a helper and remember what it was like. I've worked with and talked to many helpers/electricians who have/haven't been through the apprenticeship program that have shared their experiences. I'm giving solid advice from experience to someone who is seemingly sincere about the questions. All you're doing is spouting bull shit. Why not concentrate more on the questions and less on me? If you still can't participate, don’t.
