I am happy to say that the show got interesting enough for me to follow, especially with last Sunday's surprise ending. I definitely didn't see that coming, and I think there were not-so-subtle hints that I was just oblivious to.

Come to think of it, doesn't every episode end with a huge cliffhanger? :smirk:

In other words, unless one has the discipline and skill to condense their ideas into salient chunks, others will rarely absorb the full majesty of their fleshed out splendour.

so, anyone watched ep1 of the new season of this?

also, did anyone watch 'occupation' (bbc drama about the iraq war). started, but all the contemplative acoustic guitar music made me realise this was going to very gay indeed and not at all as awesome as 'generation kill', so gave up

Yes!
I found it slow and dull. And predictable. Also, i'm used to Brits acting very well, it's like it's some kind of creepy second nature - but for this one they went out of their way to find some very unconvincing people.

True Blood really feels like it caters to female audience, there is just too much passion bs between the main two characters.

Yeah, vampires are pretty much monsters catered to women in the first place, when you think about it.*

I saw it, but I don't know if I'll keep watching. The show's hardly about vampires. It's more like a relationship drama and oh, by the way, the love interest is a vampire.

correct. the TV series is based on a series of romance/mystery novels by Charlaine Harris (Dead Until Dark, Living Dead in Dallas, Club Dead, etc.). just focus on the boobs.

seza never quite understood the distinction between "10x smarter than everyone else" and "massive dickhead". in that respect he belongs to the same exclusive club as LegionXS and Jackal
