To the extent that Bush and his policies are sunk costs, I am. However a lesson forgotten isn't a lesson learned. I'd give GKY mostly free reign here.

In other words, she seems even worse than Bush in that regard. And if she runs for national office, she'll be groomed and tutored (lipstick on her pig), so if we didn't find out about things like this now, we probably wouldn't. And they're fairly important pieces of her character and personality.
i feel kind of queasy defending this fascist wannabe, but -- apparently the africa comment came about from a confusion between the terms "south africa" and "southern africa". the charge that she doesn't know anything about nafta is idiotic on it's face, given that a big chunk of canadia separates the state she governs from the rest of the states.

seriously, this is the mccain camp bringing out the knives and blaming her for his incompetent loss (as well as getting revenge for palin blaming them for the shopping spree). the idiots who ran his campaign need to save face, so she gets to see the underside of the bus now.

(yes, i've spent way too much time watching this billion dollar soap opera).

Maybe that's the case. I have to admit bias here, since I already think the woman is a complete idiot. And even without these public knifings, I don't think it would be a stretch to say that she is worse than Bush in this regard. She's a shallow winner of popularity contests in recent republican fashion and nothing more - from beauty queen all the way to vice presidential candidate.

And it's certainly possible that these attacks are embellished - heck, they almost certainly are. So maybe it is wrong to take them at face value and use them against her. In a sense, I sort of feel sorry for her, because she didn't ask to be picked as a running-mate (although she didn't turn it down either). But at the same time, if shining a light on her ignorance now - even if it's exaggerated - prevents another occurrence of the Bush administration, then that's worth more than the feelings of this Wasilla hillbilly who had no problems inciting violence against Obama and fanning hate and racism (not to mention stabbing her running-mate in the back).

And I'm not saying that out of spite - if I didn't think she really had a chance of becoming a force in national GOP politics, then I wouldn't care if she went home and I never heard another word about her. But she's already made clear that's not going to happen - even before the election was over - so she's getting no more scrutiny than she asked for.

Well, if you just think of what the abbreviation of NAFTA is and represents, that makes knowing who are members of NAFTA a total no brainer... oh... wait...

WTF is wrong with that anchor... tutor her? Under that argument, you could pull any smuck off the street and tutor him to be vice-president, too. I know shitall about politics but don't worry, elect me and I'll pick it up as I go along. How hard could it be, all I need is me Bible.

Seriously, there is something wrong with America when retards are considered capable of holding any rank in office and any sign of intelligence is considered "un-Christian" or "un-American".

Who cares anymore, though?
After the election, I feel like I can finally roll off and sleep, after dirtying her glasses.

Jesus, it's like Michael Chrichton wrote a book about bloggers and news companies. :olo:

Some real nice vetting by these journalists. If I had ever known any of this came from "Eisenstein," I probably would have googled him... but since they were all anonymously sourced, everybody got taken in.

Those clever bastards are going to piss off a lot of people. :olo:

Yea, there's a thread about it somewhere.
