The people who work there are generally failed techs who are unable to get a better job. Amidy and obsidian both explained the facts relating to your question pretty well.

No worries man, its really easy to get things mixed up these days and etc... its no big deal..

Now you know,

But as i said before, if you would like to add ( inject ) the SATA drivers into your windows install Disk's, as well as Service packs ( Slip streaming as foo said ), or to make an Auto install ( put it in, format, and walk away :) )

check out N-lite..

a little wile ago i formatted a Celery 333, with a SATA drive, and a 7600 GS 512Mb videocard...
windows had all of the drivers, and no need for F6'in the thing..

good thing too! i cant find my Flopical. :/

torm: That is so true with future shop/Worst Buy/Staples... the worst part is when those "Know-it-nothings" become the Managers of the Area and They think there way is the only way...
A wile back, i was between jobs, And i needed a part time job wile in class's... i had an interview with one of the stores listed above and all the manager said was "well, i've never heard of it being done that way" .... i.e. "i don't know what you just said, But i don't think it will work"
Anyway, i didn't get the job, No worries though, i got a job at the college instead... :)

Thanks Amidah .. you talk funny did you know that?
you sound mexican

the reason i asked about IDE and Sata on same Mobo was because of a bad experience when Sata first came out.

i'll be picking up a sata drive to test.
i want to mirror my old IDE and boot from sata.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. I was sure I was right because of what I was told and because my same disk worked in one computer and not the other one.

Sorry.
