Mmmm nice I hope I can find that one. I don't think I've had a tripel but I love quadrupels.

I'm still a fan of green Duvel, that stuff is impossibly light & fresh and full tasting at the same time.

Great summer beer, shame it's so rare. I know only one place that sells it and they don't have a terrace :(

Ooo, didn't even know there was a green one, I'll have to investigate getting some.

Bump. Had a green Duvel yesterday but I fear I can't say I'm impressed. Watery and with a rather subdued taste when compared to normal Duvel.

@Ryoki: if you live in or near The Hague, biercafe De Paas serves it (and it has a terrace to boot - partially extended onto the deck of a boat, even). It's near the Schilderswijk.

I picked up some of New Belgium's seasonal Skinny Dip summer ale last night. I have to say I'm a fan.

It's extremely light and citrus-y for having such a strong flavor (relative to other summers). It also joined the ranks of one of the few good beers I could see myself drinking in the summer heat and still be able to work outside.

Aventinus is hardly obscure. I first tried this beer at least 15 years ago. It's quite good and is readily available here.

so called "beer connoisseurs" always make me chuckle. they take their shit way too seriously and 90% of them are twats. drink whatever you like and stop being a snob about it.
