look a little closer... its a bundle of MW2 and a 250gig HDD...
Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
I was just talking to Fury the other day about how annoying it is in MP games when a match ends because a host quits. I'm glad to see SOMEONE finally fixed that. It's hard to judge in a LAN session, but Infinity Ward is promising a migration system to stop you getting dropped if the host leaves.

Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
so to play cod on the xbox u have to join a host? lol and how many ppl can be on this pathetic little host?...
Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
16, which is plenty considering the map sizes.

I've played 16v16 and that's just too many people on the map at any time. It gets too chaotic and the game breaks down unless you're just playing TDM. And even then it devolves into a killfest with no strategy or tactics involved.scared? wrote:lol 16...teams of 8...lol no...thats just sad...

Overpriced game machines that need constant maintenance and upgrades to stay up to date.phantasmagoria wrote:consoles

He's right, Phant.

he's wrong, Phag
Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
there is something about computer gaming that will never be achieved with consoles... one obvious point being the inability to use a mouse/ keyboard combo...which, for one, undermines a key aspect of fps'ing = aiming...which gets the auto-aim treatment every chance it gets. That just fucking kills it. And don't tell me you get used to using a gamepad, well no shit If I had my legs crushed I'm sure I'd get used to a wheelchair as well

Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
i heard they r gonna have a mouse keyboard setup for codmw2 and xbox...but the 16 player servers just gays it all out...
Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
about time... wtf took them so long? I understand consoles are setup to be easy and quick to play with your friends, but lets face it, most of you are married born again virgins that play in a dark room all by yourselves so setting up a mouse / keyboard wouldn't be much of an issue.
Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
I just got cod 4 a couple of weeks ago and i like it much better than waw so im looking forward to mw2. Now if i can only beat mile high club on vet all will be good.
Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
mile high club on vet was a walk
Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
I used to be a religious PC gamer but since I stopped being a nerd and apply thirty patches to games, the OS and hardware drivers every day, my computer suddenly lost it's ability to run games in a proper way.
The last PC game I played was Half-Life 2 episode 2 and it took me a goddamn hour before it would run because I actually need to downgrade my videocard drivers.
After that I went to my XBox, popped in a disc, hit the powerbutton and was playing 22 seconds later.

Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Well...with consoles...there is only one hardware profile to support.
Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
This I am well aware of. Back in '99 when Quake 3 was released, I spend ages getting my PC in top notch shape with the latest drivers and tweaks for the games themselves and everything and got a kick out of that.
Now I don't have the time nor the interest in that anymore and the ease with which a console game is played just suits my current gaming needs.

Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
I can relate to this. I fucking hate computers and I hate having to learn how they work just so I can fix them. Like you I'd like to just plop in a disk or click a shortcut to play. It was indeed fun in the old day dicking about trying to get the best performance but it really can sap your soul.Eraser wrote:This I am well aware of.
