I was thinking, this would have been a great opportunity for Obama to score major points... he should have refused the damn thing and told the commitee to come back after his first term. Everyone would have liked that.

look, he couldnt flat out refuse it because that would be like saying "i wont achieve the things i promised".
however, he didnt accept the money, which IMO is the politically best way to show that you don't quite agree with it either.

I'm sure the Republifags think Obama should give his peace prize to Bush.
