I've got it, Level 11 Hunter so far. exploding sniper shots are awesome.
If I'm playing i'm up for co-op.

Re: Borderlands
i'm nearly lvl 50 with my siren...but based on what i've played i've enjoyed leveling her up the most so i'd be down starting another siren and playing through with you. she's stupid overpowered from levels 20-30ish, assuming you get the right weapons.

Re: Borderlands
My only complaint about this game is, each class only has 1 special power. This game could have been sooo much more interesting and fun with some more powers. People keep making comparisons between Borderlands and Diablo, and I see this as the biggest difference between the two. Yes, you kill tons of shit and get tons of loot. But the gameplay is the same throughout, as you never get any new powers.

Yea but anyone playing D2 who knew what they were doing only really only focused on one skill too. You'd pick up other abilities but just to synergize whatever you were making (smitadin, ww barb, psn necro, etc). That's the problem I've not seen any RPG handle well; when it comes down to it there is always one best spell.Deathshroud wrote:My only complaint about this game is, each class only has 1 special power. Re: Borderlands
Simply because other games have balance issues, doesn't mean this game should suffer the same fate, or concede to an inferior design. Even if there was the uber spec for each class, at least there would have been alternatives to experiment/have fun with.

cool link for the types that like to plan ahead:
http://www.borderlandsthegame.com/skill ... 0000000000
just replace the "roland" in the url with the name of the character you're playing.

						Re: Borderlands
The hunter was fun playing single player, but most of the games I tried in co op were too laggy to get head shots, but even in single player something I noticed....I can have a sniper rifle that has an accuracy rating of 98+ and I swear the little dot is right on the guy's head (I aim for the glowing eyes) and the bullet seems to completely miss him and hit like right behind where his head is 50% of the time.
Has anyone noticed potential hit detection issues or is it just me and my aim? It's especially noticable with fire rounds cause you can see the little explosion and if an enemy is against a building or a wall, for instance, half the time the bullet explodes right behind them like it went through them.
Also some enemies aren't even looking my direction and shoot me like running backwards - which makes sniping harder when I have no idea if they actually see me or not.
For playing coop I've been playing as roland to play as more of a support role, I'm a level 13 now if somebody wants to play.

Give me a heads up when it's Q3W game time. I think Brick would be an interesting way to go after the Hunter.

Re: Borderlands
I'm playing it on PC at the moment, solo, and Brick's Berserk ability is really nice, partly because his health constantly regenerates when he's using it.

Re: Borderlands
Just Got it for the PC today. I've been playing the soldier and I'm up to lvl 12.
The game is fun, that's for sure. 87 Bazillion Guns is about right.

						Re: Borderlands
Stu and I were at lvl44 (Soldier & Siren) a few nights ago. unstoppable. I thought the game would be harder starting 2nd playthrough but it just got easier.

						Re: Borderlands
Seriously, this game is awesome.
finished the 1st run at level 36, gained 3 levels almost immediately on the second run.

Re: Borderlands
shaft, you still have the game or did you send it back? i'll have some time tomorrow to play some more...perhaps you, fury and i could get in one finishing this thing.

						Re: Borderlands
Will this thing take a large poop on my 8800 GTS? My processor and RAM check out fine otherwise.

						Re: Borderlands
Nah, got a 8800 gts myself, and it runs well at max settings.
Uses the Unreal3 engine, so if you've been able to run other games using this tech, you shouldn't have a problem.
That is, if they implemented it well in this, of course.
Only took a quick peek at it, and everything was fine, but I don't know what will happen if they throw hordes of foes at you while trying to render some intricate backdrop...

I'm running this on a 7800 GT, single core system. I have to turn off shadows and shit, but it works.

Anyone here doing the PC thing?

						Re: Borderlands
most fun I've had online with the 360 since TF2 with the orange box. I haven't tried the duel mode yet though, I'm kinda putting it off until I'm a higher level. I haven't heard much about it though either, anybody doing it? I can see how the characters could be unbalanced, the soldier in particular getting the short end of the stick being largely a support character.

Re: Borderlands
siren is hands down the cheapest for duels. with the proper setup you can one hit your opponent.
