we saved state because i needed to start the rather long drive home...

and if i told you that we used 3 lives each getting there? with no cheats or previous saved states?

once you memorize EVERYTHING and get your timing fucking PERFECT, its not that hard :)

Hah, yep. Toads/Double Dragon was an arcade port IIRC so it makes sense it was impossible. All those games at the time were hard as fuck to get you to keep shoving money in, till you figured out their tricks and did it over and over and over and over and over...

Thanks for the suggestions, gonna hit up Heavy Metal and Alice again, I never completed those the first time round. I got psychonauts through a steam deal a while back, i'll get a gamepad and bash through that. I sank a lot of time into civ iv a few years ago, it started invading my dreams so i stopped playing it :|. Gonna try and get a copy of FFVII and VIII too, i think i just missed a steam deal with those o.O.
