This is indeed an amazingly cool software development. Kudos for NASA. However, I can't zoom in on a city, or a location for additional detail beyond the initial view. If I use place finder to locate WASHINGTON DC the world tilts and shows me where it is on the continent. How do I zoom in and look at the monument and stuff like that? I don't really understand the satellite stuff very well and maybe that is what I don't get. How can I zoom in on Atlanta Georgia and look at buildings for example?

Way cool !

Miles

not every city has urban photos available. For some reason I can't even get high res photos of Manhattan, the downloaded parts just show as blue/white cloudy pictures.
Perhaps they should've taken the photos when it wasn't a cloudy day ;)

Good day my friends.

Thanks reefsurfer for this awesome tool.Image[/img]Image
I have spent like 8 hours on it already. You need a bit of patience to get to know how it works but believe me if I can do it,
all of you can. USGS Digital Ortho icon is the one I've used for these.
Also The Place Finder won't accept Washington DC.
Just Type Washington and you will see Washington district of colombo Lt.
And you have to refresh often to get it a neat view, be patient.
The program is supposed to be 280MB but it is in fact, once you have installed everything, nearly 2 Gigs on your disk.

Take Care.
Pete
