Nine months for the graft process to be complete. This whole thing is weird, because they used a cadaver tendon and not a ligament. So, right now it's three times stronger than a ligament, but since it's just a collagen scaffold and the ligament tissue will regrow on it, it gets progressively weaker before it gets any stronger.
I'm not planning on even thinking about jits until next year.

Ouch, thats quite a lengthy healing process. Interesting graft procedure too, I wasn't aware they did it that way. Good luck with the rehabilitation.

Glad everything's alright man.

Good luck with yours Puff.

The feeling of a general is pretty crazy. If you ever have to do it again, try asking them to play tracks from The Wall when you wake up. Or maybe some Monty Python.

I'm guessing it burst outwards. You're lucky. I heard that if it bursts inward it can actually blow out (or at least severely damage) your brain. It's completely random too, no way to tell when it'll blow. You'll be walking around normal one day and it'll be like, PEEECHEWWWW!

Yeah, that was it. 1/4 inch tear in the back of my eye that detached the retina. I now have intensely blurred eyesight on the right side. It's much better than how it was immediately after the incident. I couldn't see anything out of that eye and honestly thought it was going to be blind. The doc also freaked me the fuck out by saying there was a chance it could shrivel and wither up :owned:

Thankfully, it didn't. Now I just bump into shit on the right side a lot, and have freaky tilted vision like something out of the sixties Batman TV show.

That sounds crazy.

You should make some artwork of what everyday scenes look like through your eyes.

Feels for Mat Linnett and Nightshade

I do consider myself very lucky in life - not experiencing real pain or damage (fingers crossed while typing,,,)

EDIT: grrrr slow internet :(

When Mat said burst eye, I thought he just meant this:

That really sucks. :(
