i kinda thought as much tbh. press releases with statements like "the duke never comes early" reek of PR. or, corporate identity :owned:

I agree, but then again, by mocking your own delay this way, it might work like a lightning rod to divert the attention from the actual delay towards the hilarity of it all.

If Gearbox simply put out a press release stating that DNF was delayed, they'd be the laughing stock of the industry. Now that they're the first ones to openly laugh about it, the community is forced to be laughing with them rather than at them.

I think the delay is real and this whole humorous fuss around it is to soften the blow.
