Extending on my view of the gloss amount. I think the leather has the fair amount. The non-leather clothing, on the other side, has just a little bit less than leather. I think that's wrong, it should have pretty much none. Flesh also should have pretty much none. Metal, has almost the same amount as leather too (excepting the belt, maybe, that one looks shiny), and in this case I think it should double it at least.

All this is IMO, ofc.

Code some random interchangeable head models for variation, you could even have some spawning with no head (Y).

Or the higher your level, the better the head trophy.

Erm, each model already has several different heads that will be swapped. In fact the CMC marines have multiple races, too, so you can select all sorts of options.

The head isn't really part of the gameplay, but i know what you mean, seeing several of these guys all with the same head may look a bit samey. But its no issue no other games face really, remember ET:QW only has one look for each class, and you don't really notice it there (Though it could be argued nothing as extreme as a decapitated head on their belts).

yeah, but in et it was not a general issued severed head of some clone being repeated...

and if hes called the infiltrator i assume he is sneaky? a big shiny metal chain would be the last thing he would use right?

Like I said before, every class has its own custom heads that the player can select. As a few people have commented on how un-original a post apoc wearing gimp mask dude is, heres an example of ANOTHER selectable head:

Glad you like that one better :p Custom heads is something we wanted to support from day one, it just makes more sense to keep some things locked down (In a class game that makes more sense) but still allow at least SOME customization.
