I try to place the weapons somewhat strategically. On the top of a tall area, I'll put weapons like the rocket launcher or grenade launcher up there, suggestively creating a "bell tower" kind of situation, and at the bottom I'll have weapons that can overcome that height advantage like plasma rifles and rail guns....or I'll put grenade launchers at the tops of stair cases, or anywhere you can rain down chaos below. But often it seems like the time and consideration that goes into placing weapons and ammo is immediately over-written by the fast-paced nature of quake 3.

Can you think of any maps that have really outstanding weapon placement I could sorta study from?
