ok, i don't feel like making a new thread, so i bought a 1000 watt psu, and the computer does turn on, but... it seems to ne stuck in sleep mode, if i recall correctly my pc was on before i went to bed and i normally keep sleep mode on unless i am doing something, so in short, now matter how many times i hit the power button the pc is stuck in sleep mode, all fans running at max speed, monitor is black (no signal) with the Orange light...

any tips?

and yes i did plug in everything correctly.

1. It could be the Graphics Card. A friend of mine had the same problem about 3 or 4 weeks ago where his desktop computer turns on but the monitor has no signal. He changed the Graphics Card to an ATI Radeon HD 5770 and it turned on like normal with the monitor having detected the signal.

2. You should also check the monitor connector on the monitor (Wherever the connector is) to see if it's damaged which could be causing the problem.

Again... this is the same problem a friend of mine had and solved the problem using the 2 steps that I listed above.

Also try reseating the GPU in the PCI-e socket, just pull it out and pop it back in. One of my Frankenstein computers made of old parts acts up at times if I bump the case and the GPU shifts over slightly.
