Sorry, but that actually means something like "Red Basics" and not "Red Base". What you probably mean is actually "基地" and not "基本". An alternative is "レッドベースー" but that's more for modern settings. ("Blue Base" for both is "青基地" and "ブルーベースー" by the way.) I also have doubts about what the writing on the small trim actually means and what it's supposed to mean.

Does any of you other guys have support for japanese fonts and if you guys do, will you be able to understand? I feel like a giant nerd here.

I think it would be humorous to leave it as "red basics" just to poke fun at all the failed attempts at English the Japanese come up with.

I'm not that good either but I do make use of a decent dictionnary.

Peace (平和) and Love (愛) are correct.
Family (家族) is also correct altough here, it's inexplicably written with a possessive particle (の).
"友人" is correct for "Friend" but here, "Friendship" (友情) is preferable.
Trust (信頼) is correct but there's still that rogue "の" creeping in.
Success (成功) is correct too, again with the　"の".
You got "Aspiration" (吸引) as in "Sucking something with a straw". The correct word is most likely "野望" or ambition.
"Independence" is "独立", "性" is not needed.

After playing alpha3 :

Middle ground is really much better, more room to fight.
Not sure about the rocket launcher in front of the flag, you need to take the jumpad and it doesn't get you anywhere. I never went for it in a game.
The texture for the stairs, the red/blue and black stripes are nice but I think that they are the only textures that doesn't fit well with the rest of the textures in the map.
Took me a while to find the red armor, I liked the position! Maybe put some ammo also on top?
Second rocket launcher, the one above the regen, I would like it more if it where located farther, along the jumpad to get up. It feel kind of weird to have it almost at the corner.
I would love to try your map with the proximity mine launcher
Your pond going to the regen looks marvelous, can't wait to see it in game.

Alpha 3 looked great btw. I love the "stepping stones" idea. Flags look smexy!
