MX revolution..this is my mouse and now i can't even imagine using anything else
I've so grown accustomed to that side scroll wheel, (i use it as a volume control..pushes in to mute) that I honestly don't know how I'm gonna act when I finally have to upgrade and it's not on the market anymore. I love the way your thumb can rest right on the mouse... this thing feels just right holding it, and even though none of you will take it seriously since it's a wireless, I'm here to tell you you're missing out.
Honestly, this is the only mouse I've seen that utilizes the side wheel, newer models got away from using it, and I'm seriously gonna have issues getting over the fact that at some point I will no longer have one of these as an option. I'm considering buying 2 more for backup before they trickle out of circulation....yeah that's crazy talk!

I have the Bluetooth version of that for my Mac (because Apple mice are shit).

really? I didn't even know it had a bluetooth flavor. Is the bluetooth considered to have a better connection? I know it probably has excellent reach, but how's it for gaming? also, what do you use the side wheel for?

It's not a very good mouse for gaming, IMO. My PC is using the Mx518 as posted above.
I find the Revolution is good for desktop/office use. You can only get it in a Bluetooth variety as a Mx5500 keyboard/mouse combo set. The side wheel is set to toggle Mission Control and Spaces on OS X. I don't notice Bluetooth being any different as I'm sitting right in front of the computer anyway, it's just nice not having any USB dongles sticking out of my Mac.

I do have a Razer Lycosa keyboard and I really doubt I'll find another keyboard I like better.
I use the Lycosa and am on my second one, a replacement. I like it for it's looks but in reality, it's a piece of crap. The first one had an issue with the touchpad backlight flickering then never coming on again. The replacement decides every now and then that no keys will work, or, pressing a key will put that key into eternal auto repeat until I remove the USB and reconnect it.
I feel like I've been lucky with mine, 3 + years and no problems. I can't read my S key anymore and there is wear on other keys I use a lot while gaming and typing, but I couldn't careless about that. I expected it when I bought it after reading a lot of Newegg reviews. It seems to me that while Razer has good products they have quality issues in terms of longevity. If you're constantly upgrading your computer stuff I say go for it but if you want something that's going to last a long time stay away from Razer.

I have been using a Razer DeathAdder since 2007. It's great for FPSs, and adequate for MMOs, etc.

Can't fucking stand Logitech mice. While they always felt nice, they always, always broke on me.
I love my Microsoft laser mice.

I can't imagine using a mouse without a wheel, and I won't be interchanging mice for gaming.

I just found an old mouse of mine in a drawer from about 2002. Side buttons are loose but I think it still works. It was my first Quake 3 mouse.

My first quake 3 mouse was your basic mouse with the rubber ball. I don't know how I managed to use that in the beginning.

lol same here. I've been using a Logitech Pilot+ mouse with ball for ages. All my friends already had optical mice and they laughed at my ball mouse. Yet I still kicked their asses in Quake 3.

I can't imagine using a mouse without a middle button. All the other mice out there with three buttons have two problems:
1) the middle button IS the scroll wheel, which means it's impossible to click it cleanly and responsively.
2) the middle button is squished between left and right buttons, meaning that you can't place your index finger on left, middle finger on middle, and ring finger on right button unless you cram your fingers together. The wingman allows you to use three fingers for each of the three buttons, with your fingers spread naturally. This means that you have super fast access to each button, and can still control the mouse properly.
And for browsing, the middle button is key for me - i use it to open up links in background tabs - I tried using the logitech gx9 and it sucked for gaming AND browsing.

It loads for me and no QL here. Try restarting your browser.
