How do the skill trees work? Do you have to put 5 points in just to get to the next one?

Topgun mission was hilarious, and the roland mission I just finished was pretty intense.

I never got interested in the first one.

yahtzee has ceased to be relevant. I just got to the wildlife preserve area, don't know how far through the game I am but I'm lvl 20 and enjoying the challenge

Yahtzee is interesting from a comic standpoint, but not so much for reviews - he hates everything.

lol bullshit. Most people focus on his zingers towards the negative because that's what got him noticed. He's more than generous with the accolades. Dunno what you fagg0ts have been watching.

If anything, you should cherish his more-than-honest contributions to the game review scene since you'll never get anything truthful out of IGN/Gamespot/the rest of the crap except a "10 out of 10!" or "Buy this game NOW!" fluff. Yahtzee never factors in the marketing budget/campaign/sucking corporate cock when making his reviews...something I wish ALL game reviewers did.

Yahtzee got a little old or something, doesn't make me laugh like it used to. But yeah, gamespot / IGN are worthless.

The reviews and articles of Rock Paper Shotgun are rather excellent, it's the first place i go when i want to know what's happening in game-land

While I appreciate Yahtzee for his reviewing honesty, I mostly watch his videos for the comedy.

Borderlands 2 is the fucking TITS. That is my medical thoughts on the matter and I'm sticking to it.

Nice, I'm also playing a Gunzerker. Pretty sure you're on my Steam friends list, I'll shoot you a PM sometime.

I'm rarely actually there. I'll look for you next time we get a game going though.

It won't be long before I head straight into this bad boy; nearly done with the last peice of DLC on the first one then I can sink another 50+ hours on this little beauty.

OK so I have now started this; it does not quite have the charm of the original so far, but then I am only level 6 and have not done lots on it. Bullymong's are oddly cute :paranoid:

You'll find that the writing is quite a lot better than the first game. You'll also find that the game is annoyingly difficult (especially on your second playthrough, leveling from ~30 to 50). I don't mean that in a Demon's Souls kind of way, either. I mean, it's cheap as fuck. There are no reliable survivability tactics, other than "hide and take ten years to clear the room." And that sucks because a) it's not fun, but also b) it's completely counter-intuitive to what some of the classes were meant to be (according to their talent trees). It doesn't matter if you're a gunzerker with a full tanking build and supporting gear, you're going down pretty much as fast as whatever the lightest spec of the lightest class would. It gets better with co-op and everyone is using a really support-role build, so you're all feeding off of each other. But singleplayer feels extremely unbalanced to me.

That said, the charm of the characters, visuals, music, and the standard addictive RPG tropes were enough to get me to 50. It's a really good game in some respects, but I'm just warning you: it's damn frustrating.

I think they focused too much on co-op tuning. If you play with even one other person the game is easy as fuck. Or maybe zero sniping is just OP. The only things that REALLY pissed me off where enemies you couldn't crit, because then I usually couldn't kill them.

Do you spend as much time comparing items in this game as the first? That's one thing that really detracted for me is comparing these situational upgrades constantly.
