Q3W BFF's
Re: Q3W BFF's
Most likely. Not into gaming or stretching my hardware to the limits. Been using the same box for 6 years and it still does everything I need it to.

it is about time!
Re: Q3W BFF's
I thought about liquid cooling my latest rig, but I'm still put off by the idea of having liquid so close to computer parts. Has the quality gone up enough to not have to worry about leaks from reputable manufacturers? Or do they just use non-conductive liquid now to make it a moot point?
One flaw to my current setup is that sometimes when gaming, my PC sounds like a Banshee with its balls in a vice. Can't imagine liquid is that loud.

I've put it together twice. I originally just had the CPU block, then I added the GPU and motherboard blocks as well as another radiator. I haven't had any leaks so far. As long as you're smart about it and do a proper amount of leak testing before you power on your machine you're good to go. Compression fittings have a nice tight seal. I just run a simple premixed solution of distilled water and some antibacterial shit.
It's not practical or cheap by any means. I mostly did it for fun and to impress the ladies. It's almost dead silent, the GPU and CPU don't usually go over 60C on a full load over-clocked, and they both idle around 30C. The main pumps are attached to the CPU header and run at a variable speed depending on CPU temperature. Then I have the radiator fans corresponding to a water temperature sensor so they gradually increase as the water temp gets higher. It's awesome.

I wont be for long after the ladies see this machine.

Yeah, fuck that. I'll stick with fans.shaft wrote:I've put it together twice. I originally just had the CPU block, then I added the GPU and motherboard blocks as well as another radiator.
