Puts hand up. I just spent £20K on a new black kitchen, bathroom, new central heating, new double glazed windows. Still some things to finish like the builder coming back to add window sills and some other bits, and I thought I'd add some bling to the kitchen. I see you used standard halogen under cabinet pucks is there any reason why you did not use the LEDs for this? Were they not bright enough?

Thanks Whiskey. Enjoy your new renovations and lighting. My builder was 'ok' but quite a lot of things done to a mediocre standard, particularly some of the tiling and grouting. Wouldn't pay to use him again but yeah, I have to get him back now to finish bits off that I have paid for.

Tbh I'd never even considered LEDs under the cabinets. I liked the look of stainless steel circular lamps that I'd seen in shops. The LED's are probably bright enough but the lamps have a warmer lighting.

I permanently wired the coloured lights in the overhead bulkhead in today

I just have to wait for the custom glass shelves to be fixed before the white LEDs are to be placed, so photos soon, and as I work on them .

I like it DRuM. But the floor is too shiny, its the reflection of the crooked placement that messes it up. I'm sure the picture enhances that though.

Someone with taste! Thanks shaft. Yeah, the builder was a bit shit tbh, there's lots of things he did that were crooked which really bug me. Overall he did a decent job, but his lack of attention to detail shows. One of those jack of all trades, master of none builders. I think I'll unstick parts of the LED strip and straighten it up. The white appliance with the round door is a really old washer dryer, next to an equally old fridge. Both of them are to be replaced with black appliances as and when I get some more money together. The floor is 600 x 600mm porcelain tiles which are great because they're really hardwearing and don't chip easily like my previous ceramics. They're certainly shiny though.

Well glass went in easily and another set of LEDs installed without problems, and just white, but with remote/functions

Now trying to do a video worthy of the install... Having a problem 'cropping', cutting the video to the right size
Seems it is not as easy as pictures, as I took the video in portrait and I am trying to tidy it up somewhat without luck...

Any video cropping advice gratefully accepted.

DRuM, slap something over those LEDs to diffuse them so they aren't making those nasty glaring pinpoint reflections on the tile.

I too was worried re sharp spots of light/reflections. One of the trades people visiting at the time suggested placing the LED strip within some plastic tube if needed then fix the tube in place.

I actually thought of going a little further and putting something like a whitewash on the inside of the tube (if I went that way) something like the good old fluro tubes

Personally I don't mind the pinpoint effect you have there DRuM.

Still looking for any video cropping advice
