I don't remember having all these armour options when I played it, are these in the DLC? also, is switching back to a soldier in order to open doors after his turn has ended considered cheating? I just thought it was of the game mechanics

And that's a bit of a problem I had with the game. Even if you succeed in all missions, you still get panic everywhere because you can select only one out of three locations every time. In the end it is managable, but it was hugely frustrating to win each mission without casualties yet still have half the world erupt in panic.
