Camurrmurron's anti porn advisor had her website hacked and plastered with goatse only to respond by threatening the blogger that reported it

Quite ironic for the biggest wankers in the country

Anyone vote Tory ?, shoot yourself and don't wait

It's pretty crazy, for a start that silly cow obviously has no idea how the internet works and she's trying to police it. Cameron obviously has no idea what the Internet is for and his stupid remarks when responding to the difficulties was something like 'these are the people that bring global communications to one place, of course they can do it'.

Virgin media are responsible for the building and maintenance of the whole of the internet are they ?, well fuck me

He's even confusing himself
Family filters won't block 'soft' porn: David Cameron retreats in war on internet porn, admitting there will be 'problems down the line'
and God help his campaign if the block had anything to do with one of Murdochs newscorps
David Cameron is facing serious questions over how his plan for automatic internet “porn filters” in every British home would work - after he suggested that topless images such as those used on The S*n’s page three would be still be accessible online.
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/po ... 26991.html

And why mention child abuse and pornography in the same speech ?, you should be policing that shit anyway you silly tory cunt

It would be funny but I fear these levels of stupidity can match some of Americas best.

Reckon this is all part of his 'broken britain' campaign ?, eye on the next election ?

this whole thing seems bollocky ey

it doesnt really make logical sense.

seems more like big brother bollocks ey!

its my understanding that people get pron for big name places like xhamster, uporn, tube8, like big name places , big like coke and pepsi, mcD's , big money stuff!

they filter and process the prons so i get all the stuff i'm sposed to .

so it makes sense that they be more concerned with the "dealers" ey

its bizare in that it seems counter intuitive to police the end user.

Good news, UK residents! Quake3World might just be blocked by your ISP soon!

Because of course the blocking doesn't stop with porn.
The Open Rights Group are reporting that they’ve had a nice little chat with some of the ISPs that will be expected to introduce Cameron’s porn filter. Unsurprisingly the list of websites and content to be blocked by default won’t stop at porn.

ORG speculate on categories of content that might be filtered in future, but for a clearer idea of where we stand today we can take a look at the system currently being operated by ISP TalkTalk. The HomeSafe system, which was singled out for praise by David Cameron earlier this week as leading the way in this field, currently covers several categories as detailed in the image below.

Image

[...]

UK ISPs will be free to use whatever filtering system they like when the time comes, but it’s certainly possible that some will choose to use the existing service offered by Huawei.
Another real juicy bit is this:
Furthermore, in news that’s unlikely to win the PM or TalkTalk many fans, it’s now been revealed by the BBC that HomeSafe is being run by Huawei, a Chinese company founded by a former China People’s Liberation Army officer.

Whether Huawei is linked to the government or not (they insist not), it’s hardly encouraging to discover that even when TalkTalk subscribers turn filtering completely off, their traffic is still routed through Huawei’s system.

While blocked from the entire internet, at least Brits will still have access to lolcats.com....

...unless the thumbs up/down and social media links get it banned too. Then you chaps are fucked.

David Cameron.
Such a statesman. Such cunning wit. Such leadership. So brave.

He's a Conservative, so the words "statesman", "cunning", "leadership" and "brave" don't apply to him.

Scary to have such a baffoon at the buttons.

You really have to second guess "democracy" if that means that some idiot, unhindered by any actual knowledge and advised by retards, is given a mandate to fuck shit up for 4 years.

But what's the alternative? Have a binding referendum for every major decision?

I believe it wouldn't matter. I fully believe that the politicians we have to deal with are a good reflection of the average populace of the country these politicians operate in. So if you decentralize the decision-making by doing everything with referendums, you'd have the same net effect. The advantage of a government (or more specific, a prime minister) is that you have a single point of focus if you want to distort the decision making process if it's not heading in the direction you want it to head in.

I have to disagree with you there. There are countless examples of politicians doing the opposite of what the populace wants.

Let's be clear here...politicians are a certain personality type and in no way represent the "average" person. Never mind being narcissists (which is the "average" person in western culture) but these people tend to be sociopaths, and have risen to their position precisely due to their personality type. In short: the kinds of people who get into politics are not the same as the average person in any given area...as most people aren't complete cunts.

However, in the same spirit of what you're saying, a country does indeed get the government it deserves, but I'd guess that 100% of the time that's simply due to apathy of the whole concept of "politics" and the slimy bastards who aspire to get into it, not the personalities of the people living there.

Well, what I meant is that the level of intelligence and ability to make well informed decisions of the populace is about on par with that of a government. Read: shitty.

Prime ministers may be dicks, but I don't think the populace on average is able to do the right thing either.

Heh, pretty much. Democracy is just a spin word now anyway, a true democracy wouldn't have a choice of just 2 possible candidates no one likes.

In Americas case if Hillary does go forward and win then it'll be Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama... Clinton ? <-- lol

It's just a better alternative, apparently and seems like what we're stuck with.

I seen on Reddit the other day that another option should be included onto voting cards for 'none of the above'. When the election results are gathered and the new option wins the candidates are revoked and another round of elections take place. Makes more sense but there's some obvious flaws with this approach :]
