I'm not into Walking Dead for just the zombies and I haven't played the other zombie games like Deadrising or Dayz or whatever else. I never really got into Left 4 Dead either.Psyche911 wrote:Aren't you sick of this zombie shit yet?bitWISE wrote:State of Decay is up on the daily sale. Never tried the multi player in MP3, but the SP was shit. Had little to do with Max Payne at all IMO.Memphis wrote:Max Payne 3 MP is fun fun fun. Even if some of Rockstar's art direction is fucking abysmal. Sure it looks pretty in motion, but those characters are some seriously ugly arsefaces. The amateurish screen effects and completely pointless smudge-o-vision killcam also grind my gears somewhat. Also it's infested with that perk-ridden trash system, forcing new players to contend with not only the more experienced, but also overpowered and cheap bullshit that pretty much equals to playing against a stack of hackers. When will this utterly filthy utterly insideous shit die?!
Still, shootdodging off rooftops and landing in a crumpled heap is fun.

On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness is currently the Humble Bundle weekly sale. I was interested in getting these a few years ago, but never got around to it. Are they any good?

Re: Xmas game sales
No idea - I'm on the verge of dropping for them as well....
Re: Xmas game sales
do it... 4 games, two comic ebooks and two soundtracks (the $6 to get episodes 3 and 4 is already above average to claim the soundtracks)

Fuck. I just picked them all up during the Flash sale yesterday for $7.80 and no comics. First game is pretty cool so far. Great implementation of turn based combat.U4EA wrote:On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness is currently the Humble Bundle weekly sale. Re: Xmas game sales
I think I will go and pick up the Penny Arcade games, thanks.
Furthermore, highly recommended: Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons. Currently on sale for $4.49, but keep in mind it does require a controller to play. The game itself is a very touching experience.

How does the story transition over from 2033? I also picked up Last Light but I'm playing through 2033 because I never finished it.

Man the steam deals have been crap since Christmas day...
The daily personal specials from http://www.gog.com/ have been pretty solid though.

You know mac has been running on *nix for a bunch of years now right?U4EA wrote:Topic wrote:Re: Xmas game salesrofl moron alert?MKJ wrote:mac
Worst case one could make a Wine wrapper but I'd rather have a native solution.
Turns out all PA games have a mac build but only 3 is available on Steam. The others are mac store appa. Apparently HumbleBundle doesnt support that :/
Re: Xmas game sales
Unless OSX can run any *nix binary as is, without wrapper trickery or modification, that doesn't really mean much. Can it?MKJ wrote:You know mac has been running on *nix for a bunch of years now right?
Although this does kinda suck:
If PA have made builds for all their games, I should think Steam would want to have them.MKJ wrote:Turns out all PA games have a mac build but only 3 is available on Steam.

It is. It is also one of only a handful of turn based games I am willing to play as it doesn't infuriate me.Memphis wrote:FFVII is as good as turn based.Don Carlos wrote:

Re: Xmas game sales
Why couldn't those 2 be included in his "handful of turn based games"?
Re: Xmas game sales
It does if that means I can run virtually any game. Sites like portdatabase.com have already done the work for me, and if not installing into a wrapper takes about 10 seconds extra. Given there's no driver or registry maintenance on mac I'd say making a game run properly is about as 'finicky' as running it on a Win install.U4EA wrote:Unless OSX can run any *nix binary as is, without wrapper trickery or modification, that doesn't really mean much. Re: Xmas game sales
Then why wish for a native solution if this is good enough? Is it a performance issue?

Not into Civ and I have never tried XCom. Tried the Red Alert games and I wasn't enthused either....same goes for Might & Magic and Total War games.Eraser wrote:Whoa! You saying you don't like Civilization or XCom?Don Carlos wrote:
